Simon Butler
Simon Butler grew up in the Westcountry and has lived on Dartmoor for 40 years. He is a director of Halsgrove Publishing under which imprint he has published many hundreds of titles and has written and edited books, ranging from novels to specialist books on art. A passion for conserving historic photographs has led to an involvement in a number of photographic archives both in the UK and overseas. Simon holds several directorships in Arts-related organisations and helped found the annual Delamore Charity Arts Exhibition. He was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts in 2006. He has been a Trustee since the Trust’s foundation and is currently the lead Trustee for the Dartmoor Trust Archive.
