Andrew Cooper
Andrew was born and brought up in Devon. A biologist by training he made a career as an author, broadcaster and award winning television producer with the BBC Natural History Unit. His films featured Dartmoor many times. He also served as a NHS Non-Executive Director and Vice-Chair of a top performing Foundation Trust hospital. As the Chair of a leading county wildlife trust and trustee and director of other organisations, he gained considerable experience at board level in public, charity and commercial businesses. He owns a farm with views to Dartmoor, is an NFU member and has lobbied for a better deal for upland farmers. A popular speaker, he lectures at local universities and worldwide. Interested in archaeology and history, he is passionate about the environment of Devon and Dartmoor especially.
