Cross on Whitchurch Down

Taken in 1913, this photograph interestingly captures a cross which was restored in 1934. Some authorities thnk that the restoration is unsatisfactory because the upended cross has been sat on a granite block which is completely out of proportion to its head. The cross is also known as Greenlands cross.
