Blackslade Ford and Pil Tor

Blackslade Ford and Pil Tor

This photograph taken in April 1946 shows the good condition of the large newtake walls on Blackslade Down as they run down to the ford on Blackslade Water (also known as Ruddycleave Water) at the foot of Blackslade Mire. Pil Tor can be seen in the background. Near the track are boundary stones which describe the boundary between Blackslade and Buckland Manors.
