Huckworthy cross

1914 The cross is located on Huckworthy common near Huckworthy bridge Map ref.SX530.711. It stands on a small mound of turf, on the edge of the common. It is six and half feet tall. The arms are short with one having been broken off. The cross is rudely cut, quite basic and solid and acts as a waymarker to the Church at Sampford Spiney. People travelling from Plympton Priory, on route to Tavistock Abbey, would pass this cross if they wished to call at Sampford Spiney.
