Cross at Sampford Spiney

Taken in 1913, this photograph shows the cross at Sampford Spiney which stands on the green by the church. It was moved to its present position in 1870 - previously it stood by the Manor Farm gates where it obstructed farm traffic. It stands seven feet in height, with chamfered angles up the shaft.
