Bedford Square in Tavistock
Bedford Square is in the centre of Tavistock, at that time a town with a population of around 6,000. T he railway viaduct can be seen behind the trees, with telegraph poles next to the railway station. Buildings belonging to local companies the Tavistock Gazette and Yelland and Co. can be seen in the centre. The building to the right is the Town Hall with a statue of the Duke of Bedford outside and to the right can be seen the estate office of the Bedford estate and the parish church of St Eustachius.
