This photograph was taken in 1914 of Cholwithtown's clay pit and stone row. Within 150 yds of the clay pit is a small circle of six stones with a diameter of 15 ft. These are at the end of a much mutialited stone row running north-east and south-west. There is a single row of large stones, totalling in length 710 ft. Cholwichtown is the name of a nearby farm. This important archaeological feature was later obliterated by the China clay workings.
