Ruins of Eylesbarrow mine

00-09-1948 The Eylesbarrow tin mines were once the largest and most prosperous mines in the Dartmoor area. Mining activity declined during the mid 19th Century, due to shortfalls in employment, drops in share prices and the depletion of easily retrievable tin.
