Hexworthy (or Huccaby) bridge over West Dart River
This fine bridge crosses the West Dart near Hexworthy. It has three segmental arches, and the middle one has a span of 9 yards. The roadway (carrying travellers from Two Bridges to Buckfastleigh) is 9 feet in width. In 1809, James Green described it as a good bridge built of moorstone, but the arches have probably been rebuilt since then. The photograph was taken in 1914.
