Town hall Tavistock
The imposing Town hall in Tavistock stands in the heart of the town in Bedford Square. It was built by the seventh Duke of Bedford in 1863. Its facade is built in green Hurdwick stone. The building of the hall and the pannier market located behind it was part of slum clearance programme by the Duke. Tavistock owes much of its development with its links with the Bedford dynasty which started in 1694. This is an example of Stereoscopic photography.
