Cattle and Dartmoor ponies beside the bridge crossing the West Dart at Two Bridges

The photograph shows the turnpike bridge of 1792, which crosses the West Dart just below its junction with the Cowsic river at Two Bridges. A barrier has been erected to prevent the movement of livestock. This barrier is no longer in place but the bridge can be seen in the grounds of the Two Bridges Hotel. The photograph was taken on 21/06/1935.
