Mel Tor rock basins

Taken in May 1946 of rock basins on Mel or Mil Tor (1,125 ft). The tor has four rock basins, the largest measuring 2'8" by 1'8" and 7" deep. Rock basins are caused by weather erosion of the feldspar which binds together the quartz and mica crystals in the granite.
