Ringmoor Kistvaen.

This is a typical example of a Dartmoor kistvaen. The sides and cover-stone are slabs of granite. These would have been covered by a mound of earth forming a barrow. Most of the sites have been excavated and plundered in earlier days so there is no clear remaining evidence for their use. They are thought to have been burial chambers.
