Ducks' Pool Letterbox

Like [LinkToda003219 Cranmere Pool], Ducks' Pool contains no water. Instead it is a hollow in the middle of a fen. Its name, //Ducks' Pool//, derives from the variety of wild-fowl which once inhabited the area. Ducks' Pool is an early Dartmoor letterbox, the first being at Cranmere Pool. A Dr J W Malim of Torquay placed the letterbox canister with stamp and tablet here in 1938.
