Bowerman's Nose

It was in a cottage with a view of Bowerman's Nose that Thor Heyerdahl finished writing his book "The Kon-tiki expedition" - extraordinary when one considers the visual similarities between Bowerman on Dartmoor and the giant Polynesian statues of Easter Island. This photograph was taken in May 1953.
