Windypost or Beckamoor Cross
This picture was taken in 1913 of Windy Post cross. The cross is 7ft in height and has arms of 2ft 3inches. It is unique in Dartmoor crosses in being chamfered and is thought to date from the 15th or 16th century. It is likely that its purpose was to serve as a waymark or guidepost. This cross is also known as Windystone or Beckamoor cross.
