Vicarage garden ,Tavistock Abbey
Taken on 12/06/1937 of the 'Still Tower,' from the vicarage garden at the Tavistock Abbey . The Abbey was built in 960 AD by Benedictine monks, but suffered looting from marauding Vikings 37 years later. The 'Still Tower,' joined to the cloister section, was originally built for the distillation of medicine.
