Bridge at Lee Moor

11/04/1934 China Clay was first worked at Lee Moor in 1830 in the south west corner of Dartmoor. In 1858 a tramway was opened to transport the china clay to Plymouth by horse drawn trucks and in 1899 the line was partially converted to locomotives. The line was finally closed in 1947.
