Ruined chapel on Brent Hill
This photograph was taken in June 1941 of the ruins of a chapel on Brent hill. The chapel is believed to date from the 13th century. Brent Hill is formed of igneous rock and the name means steep, lofty or prominent. The hill stands on the edge of Dartmoor and has an exceptionaly bold outline and forms a notable landmark.
