Bertha bridge on the River Tavy

29/03/1936 29/03/1936 The bridge relates to a Lady Bertha mine located near Buckland Monachorum on the east bank of the Tavy, below Balstone which closed at the end of the 19th century. On the far bank is evidence of past mining activity including a waterwheel and derelict buildings.
