Cholwichtown stone row and tumulus

This photograph was taken on 21 April 1940 of part of Cholwithtown's stone row. There is a single row of large stones,totalling in length 710 ft. Cholwichtown is the name of a nearby farm. This important archaeological feature has now been obliterated by the China clay workings, which can be seen in the background of the picture.
