Bargate Stone, Bullhornstone farm

This image was taken in November 1942 of the gate and bargate stone at Bullhornstone Farm near South Brent. The farmhouse itself is a Grade II Listed Building. Farmhouse and is dated 1769, but was extended in the 19th century. It is still in use as a farm today. Granite is often used on Dartmoor to form the gateposts for fields with a variety of styles.
