Excavations at Metherall Hut Circle

Taken on 20/08/1936 at Metherall hut circle before it was submerged under Fernworthy reservoir, with the excavator R.H. Worth who was part of the Devonshire Association. The Devonshire Association was founded in 1862 and its formal objectives are to further the study of Science, Literature and the Arts in relation to the county of Devon and to promote the exchange of ideas with a view to the education of the public.
