Ger Tor rocks
Taken in May 1945 of Ger Tor rocks which stands on a spur just north of and towers above Tavy Cleave on the western edge of Dartmoor. It stands at 1,350ft and there is a central core rock pile of the Tor with weathering having produced a partial avenue. This is an area in which the military use as a firing range today and was extensively used during the war. This is probably indicated by the flag on the top of the tor.
