Gigley bridge over the River Harbourne

Gigley bridge is also known as Gidley bridge, a single span packhorse bridge, of which there are many on Dartmoor. In this photograph, the photographer has captured a woman posing on Gigley bridge as it crosses the Harbourne river on a sunny day in July 1937 (25/07/1937). If the photographer was Sydney Taylor, the person on the bridge is probably his wife, Marjorie.
