Shipley Tor

This image was taken in September 1942 of Shipley Tor (975 ft)on the south western edge of Dartmoor. On the eastern edge of the tor the land slopes steeply into Shipley gorge. There are substantial dry stone enclosure walls which meet at and nearby the tor.
