Rock Hotel, Yelverton
It is known that there was a building in Yelverton on this site as early as 1828. Then it was a dwelling-house, called Rock House. It is thought that before that there was a farmhouse here, dating from the 15th century. When exactly it became a hotel is not known, but records show that a William Shillabeer was the landlord of the Rock Hotel in 1862.
