Brentor Church
This photograph, taken during August 1969, shows Brentor Church. It sits on top of a volcanic outcrop rather than the typical granite tors found on Dartmoor. The church is predominately Norman, dating from around 1140, and is first mentioned in a deed of Bishop Branscombe in 1269. Brentor church is dedicated to St. Michael de Rupe. This means "of the Rock".
