Skerraton Menhir

Taken in July 1945 of Skerraton Menhir, also known as the Longstone, whch stands at 8'9". A menhir is a large standing stone, being an archaeological term of Breton origin and found either alone or collectively in lines usually of prehistoric origin. The name Skerraton has also been known as Scaraton, Skirton, Skerreton and Skarraton.
