A Devonshire Association Excursion to Boringdon Hall

This photograph was taken on 01/09/1934. It shows a Devonshire Association excursion to Boringdon Hall. Boringdon Hall is a Grade I listed Elizabethan Manor House on the edge of Dartmoor. During Elizabethan times it saw some notable visitors including Sir Francis Drake, Sir Walter Raleigh and Queen Elizabeth herself. It is now a hotel.
