Challacombe stone rows
The Challacombe stone rows. This is an example of a triple stone row which climbs for about 170 metres on the north slope of Challacombe Down. The lower end has been destroyed by mining operations and the southern and higher end is marked with a large blocking stone. The stone row probably once led to a grave. The small stone circle to the right of the row does not have any prehistoric significance, and the stone rows have been partially restored.
