Dewerstone

This photograph was taken in May 1914 of the Dewerstone from Shaugh. The Dewerstone stands above the steeply wooded valley of the river Plym. The Dewerstone is a wild crag that leans over the valley. It is associated with Carrington, the poet of Dartmoor. On the Dewerstone Hill his name and date of death is cut on a rock.
