The Taylor family sitting on Pew Tor

Taken on 23/04/1940, the photograph shows three generations of the Taylor family - Sydney Taylor senior, his daughter-in-law, Marjorie, and his grandaughter, Shirley. The photograph has been taken by his son, also called Sydney Taylor. Pew (or Pu) Tor stands about 1, 025 feet above sea-level, and it is interesting to see how the Taylors have walked all this way in quite formal clothes - Marjorie even seems to have heeled shoes on.
