Old vicarage at Sheepstor
This 1913 photograph shows a building which has served many uses. Prior to the Reformation, it was the Priest's house. It then became the vicarage. However, the building became the local ale-house when the village later was without a resident incumbent in later years. Later still it became the parish room. The date of 1658 is recorded on the front of the house as evidence of its Elizabethan origins.
