Crazy Well Cross on Walkhampton Common

This cross lies south-east of Crazy Well Pool. This pool is often referred to by the alternative names of Clacey Well and Classenwell Pool. The cross is made up of an ancient head on a modern shaft, and has undergone many repairs over the years, including work conducted by the Dartmoor Preservation Society in 1952. This photograph predates these repairs, being dated 30/03/1937.
