Ringmoor Stone Row

Part of the fascination of Dartmoor lies in the unexplained evidence that our ancestors have left, and stone rows are exactly such evidence. Their purpose is still unknown, although many guesses have been made. It is most likely that they were constructed for a ritual purpose, linked with burial. This photograph was taken on 29/04/1940.
