Devil's Bridge, Princetown Road

This road is part of the main east-west road that traverses Dartmoor from Moretonhampstead to Yelverton, with this section being just below Princetown towards Yelverton. The bridge shown is known as "Devil's Bridge". There is evidence of earlier mining activity to the left of the road, and the bridge on the horizon spans the railway line as it enters Princetown. In 1964 the bend was filled in and considerably straightened and the bridge removed.
