Cox Tor is an interesting example of the tors on the outskirts of the moor which are composed of metamorphic rock as opposed to the usual granite. it is composed of metamorphosed basic igneous greenstone. The photograph was taken on 23/04/1940. Cox Tor is the one in the background.
