Vitifer Mine Workings

An opencast section of the Vitifer tin mine (Chaw Gully) near Postbridge. Along with the neighbouring Birch Tor and Golden Dagger mines, it was worked on and off between the early 19th Century and the 1930s, also producing some haematite iron ore as well as tin.
