Hangershall Rocks
Taken in 1941 of Hangershall Rocks. (1,142 ft). They have also been known as Hangershiel, Hangershell, Hanger's Shiel, and Hangershill. The clitter indicates the tors former size and ther are some slabs of great length suggesting a number of prehistoric menhirs were taken form here. The tor stands above the valley of Butter brook.
