This photograph, taken in 1936, shows G.T. Harris, M.T. Foster and James Carter Allan on a Devonshire Association outing to Two Bridges. The Devonshire Association was founded in 1862 and its formal objectives are to further the study of Science, Literature and the Arts in relation to the county of Devon and to promote the exchange of ideas with a view to the education of the public.
