Fernworthy stone circle

Fernworthy stone circle is 64 and a half feet in diameter. It consists of 26 standing stones, with gaps where four stones are missing. It is part of a group of antiquities, now located in a clearing within the Fernworthy plantation. This photograph was taken on 04/09/1935 - before the present trees had been planted, although at the back of the photgograph you can start to see the effect of tree planting.
