Hayes Barton - Birthplace of Sir Walter Raleigh

Built in 1484, Hayes Barton was the birthplace of Sir Walter Raleigh in 1552. It was a typical Devon farmhouse of the 15th century, constructed mainly of cob and thatch on an E plan. Unfortunately not open to the public.
