Widgery Cross

Widgery Cross

Widgery Cross sits on the summit of Bray Tor (also known as Brat Tor and Brattor). It is made of granite blocks and was erected in 1887 to commemorate Queen Victoria's Golden Jubilee. It gets its name from the person who commissioned it, a local Dartmoor artist of the 19th century - William Widgery.
