RAF Harrowbeer

This is the base of the VHF Transmitter site. The transmitter was mounted on a steel mast. It was sited next to the transmitting hut, which was built of timber with gravel filled wall cavities to stop bullets. The unit was vulnerable to attack being located on high ground about 1.5 miles south of the airfield.
