RAF Harrowbeer

Lying to the north of the main road through the technical site of the airfield is the aspahalt parking bay of the armoury, with the concrete base of the main building standing adjacent. The building was of temporary brick construction. The armourers were responsible for the bomb stores, for fuzing the bombs (the fuzing point was located a distance to the south of the bomb store), and for loading the bombs on to the airplanes. Small arms and ammunition were stored at another site, a short distance north west of the bomb store. Photograph taken August 2001.
