RAF Harrowbeer
The exposed western edge of runway 35 looking north north west. This runway had a length of 1115 yards. It is said that that the hardcore used for the construction of the runways came from the rubble of the Plymouth Blitz, transported by road and rail to Yelverton.. In dry weather the "A" shape pattern of the three runways is still visible from the air.
