RAF Harrowbeer

The Domestic sites were dispersed around the south western side of the airfield. Domestic Site 8 comprised barrack huts, sergeants and officers quarters, each with adjacent latrines and a static water tank. Huts were placed near to the hedgerows for camouflage and to protect from bomb blast. The picture shows the concrete base of Hut 240, a timber hut for airmen.
