RAF Harrowbeer

The sick quarters is one of the few remaining buildings still extant. This is the rear of the north easterly building, which was of temporary brick construction. The original entrance was at the end of the building (right of the picture). The picture shows the steps to a side entrance. To the south west of this building, linked by short corridors were two timber framed buildings. The building is named "Trimal House" and is occupied by The Yelverton Carpet Company. A wall plaque commemorates "RAF Harrowbeer 1941-1949". Nearby were orderlies quarters, an ambulance garage and mortuary.
